I love sites that express their originality. This is exactly what Random Shirts does. From the unique web design to humorous videos to promote the shirts, it is obvious a lot of work has been put into the presentation. And, let’s not forget about the funny shirts like these:

I can’t describe myself as a fan of the Star Wars movies. Sure I saw the first couple when they originally came out, but lost touch as I grew older. I probably haven”t even seen the last three in their entirety. I also don’t understand all the hype around designers who have made their own shirts based on the movies, but to each is own. That being said I just ran across this gem that made me laugh.

Going through one of my sites referrer statistics I ran across more visitors than normal coming from Facebook. After a little investigation I found they were coming from I Heart T-Shirts. This is a great use of a Facebook page. It has a list of the various top t-shirt shops online as well as t-shirt blogs and forums. The use of each sites favicon is a great idea and gives a sleek look to the page. Login to your Facebook profile visit the I Heart T-Shirts page, take a look around and join as a fan. This is growing quick and will no doubt continue to become a great resource.
A reader emailed me about what he ran across at a Barnes and Noble store. I went to my local store but they didn’t have it. I was able to find it at their website

Try your hand at odd-ball T-shirt design with The T-Shirt Game. Turn up a random T-Shirt Card with images like politicians debating, surgeons operating, or a homely middle-aged Cupid. Match it to a Slogan Card from your hand to create a one-of-kind stunner. Choose from one-liners like, “Objects may be closer than they appear,” or “Alice wasn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer.” If the Judge for that round likes your T-shirt best, you get a Hot or Not Card, which expresses public reaction to your design.

It amazes me the ideas for t-shirt lines that I run across on the web. I really like the humor of the writing on this site and this design made me laugh. Very original so give it a look, Dinosaurs Ate My Shirt.
Even as someone who owns multiple clothing companies, I still enjoy searching for and finding unique used t-shirts. Whether it be ebay, a flea market or a thrift store, there are some great t-shirts out there that still have plenty of life left in them. A large portion of my closet houses nearly forgotten gems that I love.
Now comes along teecycle.org. Each Teecycle shirt is hand-selected from rummage sales, thrift stores and, in a few cases, friend’s closets. They are then offered for sale on their blog for just $7 and $3 shipping. It doesn’t end there, $1 of each sale is donated to restore urban river trails and waterways in the Milwaukee area. What a great idea!
